Morrison Wrap & Scarf

Morrison Wrap and Scarf

This gorgeous and lush design includes options for both the wrap and a scarf version. Knit with sumptuous Blue Sky Alpaca’s Metalico, it would look great dressed up or down and it looks much more complex than it is to knit!

Pattern offers both charted and written instructions.

Morrison Wrap and Scarf

Wrap measures 80×21 inches blocked. It used almost all of 7 skeins. To be on the safe side, you might consider purchasing 8. Shown in color Jade 1631.

Morrison Wrap and Scarf

Scarf measures 62×8 inches. It uses 3 skeins. Shown in color Turquoise 1635.

Continuing my series of scarves and wraps named after my favorite female authors, this wrap is named after Toni Morrison, whose work is so powerful, and so profound. Her books are not easy reads, or light stories, but are life changing and enduring.

We’re Back

Yes, it has been a looooong time since that last post. Perhaps this will be the start of a new era, one that even includes some posts by Virginia.

Speaking of whom, she has just recently published her first patterns that are now available at Ravelry (something she’s been meaning to do, and hopefully will continue to do beyond this). The first, of course, is a pair of socks.

Both of these were knit using the gorgeous yarn from Ancient Arts Fibre Crafts—they have a beautiful line of handdyed yarns.
